The Desert Sharks gather once a month, on the second Wednesday of every month from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (or thereabouts).  

Join us for good food, good drinks, good friends, and great music! At each Happy Hour, members and guests meet and greet, are informed of any club announcements, and participate in a 50/50 raffle!

Dive In Movie

Get in the mood for Parrot Grande! We are celebrating "A Parrot looks at 20" with "Captain Ron.

Join us at the Palm Tree Paradise for a Dive-In Movie. Russ and Tamyra will provide the main dish. Bring a side, beverage of choice and your suit. Doors open at 3:30 pm. We plan to eat around 6 and the movie will start after sundown. Please RSVP to

In keeping with our motto, “We party with a purpose” while we also enjoy a relaxing day, we will be accepting donations for Pima Animal Care Center. High on their need list are:
- Nylabones and Kong toys
- Collars, leashes and harnesses in all sizes.

Parrot Head Bowling

Saturday, July 27, 2:00 p.m., Lucky Strike Bowling, 4015 E Speedway Blvd. $15 per person, includes shoes and 2 hours of bowling. Lucky Strike loves the Parrot Heads and always has great music playing. We still need a few more bowlers!! Please RSVP to Stan, by Friday, July 12.

Trying to Reason

Mary is providing a "Make Your Own" sandwich bar. Please bring a dish to share. Bottled water also provided. It's BYOB, chair, pool floaties, sunscreen, etc.  NOTE: Absolutely NO GLASS by the pool. Consider using an adult “sippy cup” for your beverages.  She also has a new pool game for us!

Chef for a Day

The Desert Sharks provide one meal per quarter for the families at Ronald McDonald House.
Upcoming meals are:

  • Fourth Quarter - Sally Losco, date & time TBD

If you are interested in hosting a meal, please coordinate your date choice with Dori at 

If you would like to assist with a meal rather than host, contact the hosts to determine if they still have room on their team. RMDH policy is no more than 12 people in the kitchen. 

Bike Trail Cleanup

Saturday, July 13, 2019
6:30 a.m.

We have a contract with Tucson Clean and Beautiful to clean up the bike trail near Dodge and River once a month at Brandi Fenton Park, 3482 E River Road. Stay for breakfast after.   Please note that trash bags, gloves and picker uppers are supplied and we pick up trash for only an hour.

One of our members, Mango Mary, has started a new tradition after the clean up. We move to another location outside the park where we enjoy a refreshing Bloody Mary or Mimosa from our tailgates before we head to breakfast. We rotate who brings the libations each month. Come join in the fun and that "feel good" of giving back to our community. Come join us!
